Letter from Dr. Steve Hart, Chairman, June 2020

SNP Chairman Steve HartDear Friends,

I hope you are doing well and staying safe. In these unprecedented times it’s challenging to think back to 2019, which seems like a lifetime ago. Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) has had to adapt just like everyone else. I am proud of this non-profit for pivoting and addressing the urgent needs from the pandemic with our unique talents. We shifted our consumer outreach focus from Little Seafoodies to develop the rapid response campaign, Eat Seafood America!, and rallied our partners to amplify the messages to help consumers stay healthy by eating healthy with sustainable seafood and supporting the seafood community affected economically by COVID-19. As of this writing, the #EatSeafoodAmerica campaign has generated over 285 million impressions since launching in April 2020.

As you read this Annual Report, I hope you can see that the foundations of the Eat Seafood America! campaign were built from our prior experience. This is a testament to the SNP donors and stakeholders for having the foresight to support this innovative non-profit. If you are able, please consider supporting SNP in any way you can as our work is vital for helping Americans stay healthy with seafood nutrition now more than ever.

Best Regards,
Steve Hart
2019-2020 Chair

Letter from Ms. Linda Cornish, Founder & President, June 2020

Linda Cornish, PresidentDear Friends,

As the country begins to recover from almost four months of quarantine, I want to take this opportunity to thank our Board of Directors, Scientific & Nutrition Advisory Council, Ambassadors, National Leadership Council, Donors, Partners, and Staff for sticking together to strengthen the work of SNP. I saw firsthand how these extremely difficult times brought out the exceptional leadership in all of us. I am grateful for each of you showing up in extraordinary ways to lay a stronger foundation for SNP in order to have an even greater impact to help Americans gain the skills and knowledge to eat more sustainable seafood for improved health.

Thank you for helping me to see a broader vision for SNP and calling on us to use our unique talents to help our seafood community during these times by pivoting and creating the Eat Seafood America! campaign. We have a long road ahead for our recovery and I am honored to help to the best of our abilities.

I am grateful for your financial support and hope you will consider renewing your donations in whatever amount you are able. We will continue to be faithful stewards of your contributions.

With gratitude,
Linda Cornish
Founder & President
