Gustavo Lara leads Seafood Commercialization for Cargill and is tasked with laying the foundation of the company’s commercial strategy in the industry.
Over the past 17 years, Gustavo has held diverse Marketing, Sales and Business Development positions in multinationals such as Cargill, DuPont, and Dell Technologies. He joined Cargill in 2016 where he worked with the company’s Animal Nutrition Enterprise and Corporate Strategy Team before helping found the company’s new Seafood business.
Gustavo is passionate about helping people access food that is nutritious, affordable, and sustainable through the thoughtful use science, technology & engineering. He is an avid home cook with an unapologetic geekiness for seafood and coffee.
Gustavo is an Engineer in Electronics by training and has an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
