
Under Bill’s leadership, the company strengthened its commitment to sustainable practices by increasing the number of products certified as sustainable, reducing source packaging, reducing food waste, and lowering energy and water usage across the company. Bill DiMento has held key positions at High Liner Foods, Inc. since 1987, including Director of International Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs, Senior Director of Manufacturing and Regulatory Affairs, VP Quality Assurance, Sustainability and Government Affairs, and currently VP Corporate Sustainability & Government Affairs.
DiMento is a professional member of the Institute of Food Technologists, a Past U.S. Representative to CODEX, and has been a past chairman of the NFI Technical Committee. DiMento is a past member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Fish Inspectors and the Atlantic Fisheries Technology Conference, past chairman of the Executive Committee of the Global Seafood Sustainability Initiative (GSSI), and past President of the Stronger America through Seafood coalition. Bill received Sea Web’s first-ever Grand Seafood Champion award in 2015 for his work that stretched across all four award categories: leadership, innovation, vision, and advocacy. Bill is currently a member of the NFI’s BSB board, Technical Committee, Domestic Committee, and Government Relations Committee. He is also a member of the National Seafood Promotion Council Task Force and an expert member of the Alaska Pollock Fisheries Alliance.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science/ Food Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
