Three Healthy Ways to Spoil Mom this Mother’s Day

Mark your calendars because Sunday, May 13th is a day to celebrate. It’s Mother’s Day! Take the time to spoil that special lady in your life with these three fun ideas. Hint hint, she will love any gesture, especially ones that include a little extra time with her family.

Looking to really impress mom this Mother’s Day? Lavish her with one of these simple and fun ideas and she will know she is appreciated by her family.

  1. Take mom on a surprise picnic! Now that the sun is out, throw on some shades and sunscreen and take mom out for a picnic. Some great dishes you can pack include protein-packed tuna sandwiches, a yummy crab salad, and fruits salad for dessert. Check out more picnic ideas here.
  2. Plant some flowers as a family! As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers. Brighten up this Mother’s day by spending the day planting flowers or herbs together. Give mom a chance to pass on that green thumb to the rest of her family.
  3. Bring mom a healthy breakfast in bed. Serve mom a delicious bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese along with some beautiful flowers you picked from the garden. Don’t forget the coffee!
