Feeding My Family with Fish: Healthy Heart Pledge Testimony

I didn't just take the Healthy Heart Pledge for myself—I did it for my family of six. In the past, I had always heard about the importance of including more seafood in your diet. But, as the food decision maker of the house, I had never truly committed to getting seafood on the dinner table once a week, let alone twice a week.

Taking the Healthy Heart Pledge encouraged me to start researching the benefits of seafood and Omega-3 fatty acids. The more I read the more I realized how important it is for your body and overall well-being. My family loves tuna and salmon, which we now eat at least twice a week. It's made my family healthier and happier! I physically feel better and am at ease knowing I'm teaching my kids to grow a healthy eating habit—It's a priceless feeling.

I'm so thankful that I was introduced to Seafood Nutrition Partnership of Oklahoma City and appreciate them for sharing this life-changing program with me and my family.
